The rules are written down. That is the point.

Trust that depends on goodwill is not trust — it is hope. The Miziba Charter fixes, in advance, what may move money and who may move it. These are rules, not discretion, and they apply to Miziba itself.

§

Articles of the Charter

Eight articles hold the whole system in place. Every product — Trade, Build, Capital — inherits them without exception.

Article I · CustodyMiziba never holds client funds. Money is held by licensed banking and payment partners under Ghana's Payment Systems & Services Act, 2019 (Act 987). Miziba operates the control layer, never the account.
Article II · VerificationNothing of consequence is self-reported. A certified, independent professional examines the physical event and signs a verdict. The signature — not a review — is what the system acts on.
Article III · ReleaseMoney leaves escrow only against a verified event, in a fixed order. No participant can release funds to themselves, and no rule is waived case by case.
Article IV · NeutralityThe verifier is engaged by Miziba, never by the party being verified. The registry is neutral discovery, not a marketplace; placement cannot be bought.
Article V · RecordsEvery transition of money or state is written to an immutable audit record — actor, timestamp, evidence hash. History is append-only and cannot be quietly rewritten.
Article VI · IndependenceRing-fenced special-purpose vehicles, an independent director, and separate audit firms across borrower, SPV and operator. Related parties are disclosed in full.
Article VII · DataPersonal and KYC data is processed under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) — lawful basis, minimisation, retention limits and subject rights. See the Privacy Notice.
Article VIII · RestraintA primitive is proven in one market before it is shared. Miziba does not display partners it has not signed, or figures it cannot defend. Nothing published is an offer of a facility, security, credit or insurance.

Why a charter, not a promise

FIXED IN ADVANCE

No case-by-case

The conditions that release money are defined before a transaction begins — so no one can argue them afterward.

BINDS MIZIBA

Applies to us too

The charter constrains the operator as much as any participant. We cannot touch custody or override a verdict.

LEGIBLE TO BANKS

Auditable by design

An institution can read exactly how money moves here — and satisfy itself before a single cedi is committed.

This charter is a plain-language statement of operating principles, published for transparency. It is not legal or regulatory advice, and specific engagements are governed by their own agreements.

Rules you can read before you trust us. That is the whole idea.
