01What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently. "Local storage" is a related browser technology that lets a website store small amounts of data in your browser without sending it to a server.
This page explains what cookies and local storage Miziba uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
02What we use
The Miziba website uses one piece of local browser storage and no third-party tracking cookies. Specifically:
Cookie acknowledgement. When you accept the cookie notice that appears at the bottom of the page on your first visit, we store a single key-value pair (miziba_cookie_ack_v1 = 1) in your browser's local storage. This is so that we can remember your acknowledgement and not show you the notice on every page load.
This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to Miziba or any third party. It contains no personal data and no identifier.
03What we do not use
We do not use any of the following:
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, programmatic advertising tags);
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or similar);
- Profiling or behavioural targeting cookies;
- Social network embeds that set tracking cookies (such as embedded Facebook or X widgets);
- Cross-site tracking pixels;
- Session replay or heatmap tools;
- A/B testing tools that set persistent identifiers.
If we add any of these in future, we will update this Cookie Policy and provide an opt-in consent banner where required by applicable law.
04Third-party content
The Miziba website loads typography from Google Fonts, operated by Google LLC. When your browser requests a font file, Google's servers receive a standard HTTP request that includes your IP address and browser type. Google's use of any data so received is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not control and do not have access to that data.
We use Google Fonts because it is a widely adopted, no-tracking-cookie font delivery service that provides the typefaces required for the site's visual identity. If your jurisdiction requires explicit consent for any third-party request, you may block external fonts at your browser level without significantly affecting your ability to read the site.
05How to control cookies and local storage
You can control or delete cookies and clear local storage at any time using your browser settings. The exact steps vary by browser:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Cookies and site data;
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Clearing site data will remove the cookie acknowledgement and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit.
06Updates to this policy
If we add any new cookie or local storage use to the website we will update this policy and indicate the change at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted clearly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
